Sleepy baby

Maggie is almost 6 weeks. Last night she only woke up one time between the hours of 9 and 6! We cannot believe it. She isn't consistently sleeping that much of course, but its still so wonderful when she does. I feel almost normal. Josie didn't put that many hours together for months, so this is a welcome change.

4 Kids under 3

Ha! That would be hard for sure, but luckily these 4 kids belong to 2 different families. Abby and Ryan came over last night with Beau and Leland. So, we were joking how it used to just be the 4 adults and how we used to go out for margaritas and now we eat at home while the kids interrupt us and the babies are being held.

My friend Abby told me I do not have enough pictures of Maggie so I took a few this morning. I even got one of her sort of smiling.

Josie and Lucas

Lucas and Josie played in our little pool and with the sprinkler today. I didn't get any cute pictures of Josie---just the mean face above when she decided she was done playing. Julia and Maggie slept and pooped and nursed. Carrie and I tried to finish a whole conversation. It was fun!

Seriously, this is how her hair looks when she gets up in the morning, if only I could be so lucky!

Sweet

Sometimes they can be sweet at that same time. Sometimes they are both not so sweet at the same time, but honestly I like being a mom of two. It's busy and trying at times, don't get me wrong, but I feel that since I am pretty much a stay at home mom it gives me more of a purpose. I don't want to wish them older, but I am curious as to how they will get along and if they will be friends. I hope so. Maggie is doing well. She is sleeping pretty decent at night (we know it won't necessarily last) but we will take it while we are getting it. Josie is still adjusting to her new role as a big sister and most of the time she does great.

One Month

Maggie is one month today. She has started smiling, but I haven't gotten it on camera yet, it is very cute and makes her seem more like a baby and less like a newborn. Her hair is thinning out so I am interested to see if it stays dark or comes in lighter. She isn't sleeping very well, but most nights she goes at least 3 hours once or twice, so its not bad especially compared to Josie at this stage.

One Month Weight Check

Maggie will be one month on the 4th, so I will do a picture then, but we had her one month appointment today. She is 10 pounds 10 ounces and is 22 inches...meaning she gained about 2 pounds in a month (since she lost almost a pound right after birth). She is off the charts for both weight and height! I promise to get some pictures up soon:)

Sisters

About 5 seconds after these pictures were taken Maggie spit up all over Josie. I don't think Josie is going to want to hold her for a while...
